An Earth Day Project - Reuse PVC Pipes in Planting!

We've mentioned how you can get hold of some PVC pipes and repurpose them.

Here's another, springish suggestion - use old PVC pipes as little flower pots!

Upcycling: an old light bulb as a vase

There is a lot of ways to reuse an old light bulb. Here's one of them - turn it in into a vase!

Remove all that unnecesseary thingies from the light bulb, hang it and fill it up with flowers.





Extra tip: instead of hanging the light bulb vase, you can try to put it on some kind of a stand / a holder, e.g. the one made out of a toilet tube.


Recycle a colander - make an original lamp

An old, rusty colander can become your new lampshade. It'll give your home a decent-don't-take-me-to-serious- touch.

Extra tip: if you like more rustic style, you can use a rusty colander without painting it, for example: 



DIY: glass bottle light !

Do it yourself - make a unique lamp that will lighten up that dark corner of your room.

You will need an old, empty (yes!) bottle of wine (or any other drink actually) and some Christmas lights! Attention: you'll have to use a drill for this project!

Extra tip: although you can use any glass bottle, maybe you'll get a better effect if you use the dark one.


DIY: recycled shutter boards as a stand

Reuse toys ~create a unique frame

This "project" can't be any simpler - take an old grater, put it above a tealight candle and enjoy a soft light show in your home!
